“Is it true?” A voice hissed. “The spirit caller is truly alive?”

The room was dark. A small torched flickered in the corner, but it seemed to be cowering from the massive man in the middle. He sat on a black throne, his entire body covered by a black cape, and his face by a mask. A smaller black haired boy that looked to be about 16 stood boldly in front of the giant with an expression that was a mix between a scowl and amusement. “Yes.” The giant said slowly. “It would seem that her and the bracelet escaped without a scratch.”

“Except for the fact that they were separated.” The boy interrupted glancing at the darkest corner of the room for a split second.

“That’s not good enough!” The snake like voice came from the dark corner. Both the giant and the boy were frustrated that they couldn’t see the speaker, but didn’t dare say anything about it. “The bracelet has been found! The spirit caller will always be lead to the bracelet in the most unpredictable ways! The only way we can succeed is if she’s dead!”

“Forgive me.” The giant said although it sounded forced in his rumbling voice.

“Dispose of the girl, Malcolm, and I will.”

“That shouldn’t be a problem.” The younger boy’s eyes remained on the floor as if staring at the darkened corner would cause him to turn to stone. “Her memories are a jumbled mess, so she isn’t completely sure of her power.”

“That may be true.” The voice growled. “But if that blasted Pharaoh finds her first...
The spirit caller has already learned of her… unique second language.”

“Don’t worry master.” Malcolm exclaimed his voice causing the castle to shake. “As long as they don’t know who’s really running the show, you will be safe, and the spirit caller will soon be nothing more than a corpse and a bad memory!”

“Good.” The voice replied. “I’m counting on you Malcolm. Don’t fail me!” The two knew that the owner of the voice left because the room became suddenly brighter and the temperature jumped to above freezing. “Haspen.” Malcolm said taking control. “You know what to do.”

“Of course.” The boy bowed briefly and scurried from the room. Malcolm sat back down on his throne. “Soon.” He thought. “It will all be over.”

“The world will finally bow before my Master… after the Spirit Caller is destroyed”
